Allan will cover techniques that have worked up and down the coast. Bait, Chumming, Drifting, Tackle, all will be covered to help you catch this prize of light tackle and table.

 

Please note new meeting times.  We are moving everything up by 15 minutes in hopes of getting the seminar started by 8:00.

Please join us on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 for another great angling seminar.  Our monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at PITA Hall on Plum Island (8 Plum Island Turnpike, Newbury, MA.)  The doors open at 6:45 PM. Dinner is served at prices that will not break the bank. ? The club meeting starts at 7:15 PM.  After the meeting, we have a seminar by a featured angler. Seminars are free for club members; there is a $5.00 charge for non-members.  Membership information is available here.

November 21, 2017 Club Meeting: Captain Greg Metcalf: Fishing for Striped Bass in Kennebunkport

ATTENTION:  The November 21st general meeting will be held at Plum Island Taxpayer Hall, Plum Island Turnpike, Plum Island.  Due to the location change, no dinner will be served.  Dessert and coffee will be available.  The meeting start time is 7:00 PM.  Additional parking available at Surfland.

The November 21st club meeting will feature Captain Greg Metcalf:  Striped Bass Fishing in Kennebunkport.  Greg is a charter boat captain of the Striper Swiper in Kennebunkport, Maine and founder of the Atlantic Captain’s Academy, offering Coast Guard approved courses to captain’s license candidates.  Past ventures include the design and manufacture of fishing tackle (Atom Lures Manufacturing).  He has published in Sportfishing, Salt Water Sportsman, Marlin, and New England Game and Fish magazines.

This guy knows his stuff.  You don’t want to miss this talk!

October 17, 2017 Club Meeting: Dave Pickering: Targeting Keeper Stripers and Big Blues

  • Emphasis on shore fishing with some info on boat fishing also
  • Techniques in fishing skinny water, outflows, big currents, boulder fields, and beachfronts
  • Matching the baitfish with artificials
  • Info on the most effective plugs, jigs, swimmers and metal
  • Playing the fall runs

Doors will open at 7 pm for dinner with club business meeting at 7:30 and seminar at 8:00.
